What is AIVA?
AIVA is an AI music composer from Luxembourg that generates original tracks in more than 250 styles. Marketing and content teams use it for background music in videos, podcasts, ads and games, with commercial rights depending on the plan.
AIVA Technologies Sarl in Luxembourg offers a web app in which users pick a style or preset, upload an influence track, generate compositions and edit them before download. Exports include MP3 and MIDI, and high-quality WAV on Pro. Track length is capped between three and five and a half minutes depending on the plan.
The three plans differ mainly in rights: on Free and Standard AIVA keeps the copyright, while Pro transfers it to the user with unrestricted monetization.

Files uploaded as Influences grant AIVA a perpetual, worldwide license to train its AI systems, so do not upload music you do not own. Data hosting location and a data processing agreement were not published at the time of our review in September 2026.

Only on the Pro plan, where the pricing page states the copyright is owned by you. On Free and Standard, AIVA keeps the copyright.
Can we use AIVA music in ads?
