What is Tactiq?

Tactiq is a Chrome extension that captures live transcripts of Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams calls and turns them into AI summaries, action items and follow-ups. It suits teams that want meeting notes without inviting a recording bot.

Tactiq is based in Sydney, Australia. The extension transcribes meetings in more than 60 languages with speaker identification and saves only text, not audio. AI features generate summaries, action items and follow-up emails, and custom prompts can be saved as workflows that send results to Slack, Linear, HubSpot or Notion. According to the vendor, AI processing uses OpenAI's enterprise API and data is not used for model training. Tactiq lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and HIPAA compliance, more than 1 million extension installs and customers such as NVIDIA and GitHub.

Tactiq AI features and use cases

  • Summarizes meetingsAfter or during a call, AI turns the transcript into a summary. People who missed the meeting catch up in a few minutes.
  • Extracts action itemsThe AI lists tasks and drafts follow-up emails from the transcript. Agreed next steps are captured without someone taking notes by hand.
  • Runs custom prompts as workflowsTeams save their own prompts, for example for sales call notes, and send the results to tools like HubSpot or Notion. Recurring meeting types produce the same structured output every time.

What sets Tactiq apart

  • No bot joins the call; transcription runs in the browser extension.
  • Stores text only, no audio recordings, according to the vendor.
  • Euro prices per user with SAML SSO from the Business plan.

Questions to ask before you buy Tactiq

Participants must be informed when a meeting is transcribed, and in Germany transcripts of internal meetings can raise co-determination questions under Section 87(1) No. 6 BetrVG. AI processing uses OpenAI's API, so check the data flows. A data processing agreement is part of the Business plan and above. SSO starts with the Business plan.
