DataSnipper is an automation platform for audit and finance teams that works inside Microsoft Excel. It matches workpapers to source documents, extracts data and runs AI agents that carry out procedures such as tests of detail and revenue testing for human review.

The Start plan covers automated matching, extractions, form extraction and version comparison; Accelerate adds Excel Agents, Disclosure Agents, DocuMine, AI Extractions and an Agent Builder; Elevate adds Alwin, Planning Mode, Audit Workbench, review workflows and client spaces. Users include external and internal audit, controllers, tax and government auditors. Founded in 2017 in Amsterdam, the company reached a $1 billion valuation in 2024 and names all Big Four firms as customers.

DataSnipper runs on Microsoft Azure and publishes its DPA, but the security page names no hosting region, so ask where your data is stored. The SOC 2 Type II report is available on request, and the vendor's AI Act statement should be checked against your own governance rules.
