What is Mindgard?

Mindgard tests AI models and agents for security weaknesses through automated red teaming and adds runtime protection, for security teams that need to assess AI systems before and after launch.

The platform has four parts. Discover evaluates agents and finds shadow AI, Recon maps the attack surface of models, agents and tools, Attack runs automated red teaming and security tests, and Defend adds runtime protection and hardening. According to the vendor, its research team has found more than 150 publicly disclosed vulnerabilities in AI systems. Mindgard integrates into CI/CD and supports OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS and Docker targets. Mindgard Limited is registered in London, has roots in Lancaster University and states SOC 2 Type II compliance.

Mindgard AI features and use cases

  • Red-teams AI applications automaticallyAttack runs send adversarial inputs against models and agents and record which ones succeed. Security teams test more scenarios than a manual red team could cover in the same time.
  • Maps what an agent can reachReconnaissance profiles the models, tools and data an agent has access to, the way an attacker would. Teams see which connections create the greatest risk.
  • Tests in the delivery pipelineCI/CD integration runs security tests with each release. Regressions show up before a changed prompt or model reaches production.

What sets Mindgard apart

  • Research background at Lancaster University and a public record of disclosed vulnerabilities in major AI systems.
  • Covers testing and runtime defense in one platform.
