HALCON is a machine vision software library from MVTec for developers and system integrators who build industrial inspection systems. It combines classic 2D and 3D image processing with deep learning for defect detection, classification and character reading.

HALCON bundles image processing, deep learning and calibration tools in one toolbox for 2D and 3D applications. It runs on multicore platforms with GPU acceleration and integrates Intel OpenVINO and NVIDIA TensorRT for faster deep learning inference. Licensing is split into development licenses for building applications and runtime licenses for deployed systems. MVTec Software GmbH is registered in Munich.
