What is Orq.ai?
Orq.ai is a European platform for building and running generative AI features, with prompt management, experiments, evaluators and an AI gateway to many model providers. It suits companies that want EU data residency and central control over model use.
Orq.ai is provided by Orq.AI Holding B.V., based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Prompts are central assets reused across playgrounds, experiments, deployments and agents, with version history, A/B testing and dynamic variables, managed through the UI, API or CLI. The AI gateway gives one OpenAI-compatible endpoint for more than 500 models from over 30 providers, with budgets, cost attribution, audit trails and PII redaction. Hosting is in the EU by default, with US hosting, VPC, on-premises and air-gapped deployments as options. The pricing page lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
Orq.ai AI features and use cases
- Manages prompts across productsPrompts are versioned once and reused in experiments, deployments and agents. Teams change behavior of AI features without code changes and keep a history of every edit.
- Tests prompt variantsA/B tests compare prompt variations in controlled rollouts. Teams roll out improvements gradually and limit the risk of a bad change.
- Refines prompts with AIA built-in prompt generator helps rewrite and improve prompts. Less experienced users get to a working prompt faster.
- Protects personal dataThe gateway detects and redacts personally identifiable information before requests reach a model provider. This reduces the amount of personal data leaving the company.
What sets Orq.ai apart
- EU hosting by default, with no US parent company according to the vendor.
- Combines prompt management with a model gateway, budgets and cost attribution.
- Models are billed at provider list prices without markup; Orq.ai charges a platform fee.
Where Orq.ai is strongest
