What is Syllo?

Syllo is a litigation platform that combines case management, eDiscovery and AI analysis in one workspace. Law firms and in-house legal teams use it to review large document sets, build chronologies and prepare complex commercial cases.

Syllo was founded in 2019 by two litigation attorneys and two Carnegie Mellon engineers, and the company behind it, TLATech Inc., is based in New York. The Unified Platform manages a case from complaint through trial, with chronologies and narrative building, an eDiscovery module in the same environment, and a Case Intelligence Layer that keeps the AI grounded in the matter. Agentic Issue Tagging was released in 2024, and a Litigation Agent is in early access. The vendor also lists legal research and drafting as parts of the platform and describes an offering for in-house teams.

Syllo AI features and use cases

  • Tags documents by issue with a rationaleSpecialized AI agents divide first-level review and assign documents to as many issue codes as a team defines. Each determination comes with a written rationale pointing to the text that triggered it, so reviewers check results instead of reading every document.
  • Runs first-level privilege reviewThe same agentic system supports automated first-level privilege review, which speeds privilege calls and the production of privilege logs. Case teams validate the outcomes before documents go out, which keeps the process defensible.
  • Finds responsive and key documentsAgentic Issue Tagging combines responsiveness analysis with key document identification across large volumes. Teams reach hot documents sooner and spot production gaps earlier, which frees attorneys to spend that time on case strategy.
  • Builds chronologies and case narrativesAI-enhanced insight surfaces connections in the factual record and supports dynamic chronologies and narrative building, with exports of summaries linked to source documents. The case record updates as new facts arrive, so teams avoid manual re-prompting.

What sets Syllo apart

  • Built around litigation: case management, eDiscovery, analysis and drafting run in one environment, so context carries from phase to phase.
  • Every issue determination includes a written rationale that points to the exact text, which supports defensible review.
  • The vendor states 99 percent precision and 20 times the throughput of traditional review methods for Agentic Issue Tagging.
  • Engagements start with a discovery conversation about the docket rather than a standard demo.
