What is trail?
trail is a Munich-based platform for AI governance and GRC automation that registers and classifies AI systems, generates documentation and runs agents for recurring compliance tasks.
trail has two parts. The AI governance platform tracks AI assets, including ML models and agentic systems, manages requirements from the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001, handles policies, risks and audits and generates documentation. The GRC agents automate repetitive governance tasks across existing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence without replacing them. It runs as SaaS, on premises or in the customer's own cloud. trail GmbH is based in Munich and names Deutsche Bahn, Sparda-Bank and Atruvia as customers.
