Agicap vs Kyriba (October 2026): midmarket cash management or enterprise treasury suite
Updated · 10 min · by Nick Schäfer- Verdict: Agicap fits midsize companies that want cash visibility, a rolling forecast and payments, especially with DATEV in Germany or in France. Kyriba fits large groups with a treasury team that also manages FX, debt and investment risk.
- Where Agicap leads: A free trial, a documented two-way DATEV link that its integration team sets up in a few hours, and a published hosting location in Belgium.
- Where Kyriba leads: Connections to more than 10,000 banks, named connectors for SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics 365 and Workday, SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II reports and TISAX.
- The number that decides: 15 bank accounts on average per Agicap customer, with revenue of 5 to 10 million euros, versus close to 3,000 Kyriba customers in 170 countries. The two tools are built for different sizes.
- Check before choosing: Neither vendor publishes prices or contract terms. Agicap has no SOC 2 report yet (in progress), and Kyriba does not say which region holds your data.
Agicap and Kyriba both show finance teams where cash sits across bank accounts and what it will do next, so they turn up side by side in search results. They come from different ends of the market. Agicap, founded in Lyon, sells cash management to midsize companies. Kyriba, headquartered in San Diego, sells an enterprise treasury platform to large groups.
We compared them on October 1, 2026, using vendor pricing, security and product pages, two trust centers, an investor press release, TechCrunch, user reviews on Capterra and Software Advice, and the legal texts that matter for buyers in Germany. ai-toolfinder is independent; neither vendor pays us, and how we review is public. Both tools belong to our treasury and cash management category, where 33 of 52 listed tools quote prices only on request.
Agicap or Kyriba: the verdict
Pick Agicap if you are a midsize company with a CFO or controller instead of a treasury department, book in DATEV or a common ERP, and want a rolling forecast, payments and receivables in one tool with data hosted in the EU.
Pick Kyriba if you run a group treasury across many banks, countries and currencies, need FX, debt or investment risk management in the same system, or must hand SOC 1 Type II reports and TISAX to auditors and customers.

Pricing and contracts: both quote only, Agicap lets you test first
Agicap's German pricing page, titled as individual offers for every company, names no plan tiers and no amounts as of October 2026. It lists the areas a quote can cover: liquidity management, bank and ERP connectivity, expense management, payments and receivables management. Customers pay by invoice or SEPA direct debit, and a button leads to a free trial. The page says nothing about contract length, notice periods or renewal.
Kyriba publishes no prices either. Its home page points to a business value advisory and a liquidity calculator before any offer. Third-party sites quote price ranges for Kyriba, but they are estimates built from small samples, so we do not repeat them. Contract terms are not public either.
Buyers report friction on both sides. A Capterra reviewer of Agicap wrote in July 2024 that licensing can be very high, over 3,000 euros a year, when several bank accounts and two companies are connected. That is one review, not a price list. For Kyriba, Software Advice shows a 4.4 out of 5 average from only 8 reviews, with complaints about a difficult implementation and slow support, the oldest dating from 2019.
Ask both vendors the same questions in writing: which modules and AI functions are in the price, how long the initial term runs, how renewals and price increases work, what onboarding and bank connector setup cost, and what happens to your data after termination.
AI features: Agicap automates bookkeeping steps, Kyriba adds a governed agent
Agicap lists five AI functions on its AI page, all presented as live without a beta label. Zero-touch reconciliation matches transactions to invoices and, according to Agicap, can automate up to 95 percent of bank journal entries. An AI agent drafts collection reminders in a tone adapted to the customer's payment history. A forecasting assistant categorizes transactions and explains variances. Fraud and error detection flags fake documents, duplicate payments and anomalies. Optical character recognition (OCR) reads invoices and receipts.
Agicap also describes a chat assistant (article of September 4, 2024) that answers questions in natural language and runs simulations on data inside the Agicap system. It names no language model. The percentages on the page, such as a 20 to 40 percent lower days sales outstanding (DSO), are vendor claims without a named study.
Kyriba announced TAI on May 13, 2025, after piloting it with Sodexo, Koch and Mews. Its launch page states general availability in North America and Europe, with other regions to follow. TAI answers questions on treasury data in plain language, analyzes variances and runs Skills, which are reusable instructions for tasks such as finding unidentified cash flows or checking a working capital setup. Sensitive actions need explicit human approval and leave an audit trail.
Kyriba says TAI uses an embedded language model, that customer data is not used to train public models and that data never leaves the platform. The same page was updated on July 16, 2026 and says nothing about the EU AI Act. Neither vendor publishes error rates for its AI, so ask for a pilot on your own bank data.
Banks, ERPs and DATEV: depth of connection differs from the first call
Agicap documents its DATEV link in detail. From DATEV it imports customer and supplier invoices with due dates, credit notes, orders, payment files, bank accounts, booking journals and the chart of accounts. Back to DATEV it sends reconciled bank journal postings that clear open items, plus purchase journal postings. Agicap says setup takes only a few hours with its integration team.
Beyond DATEV, Agicap names 400 or more ERP and accounting links, among them SAP, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks, a public API, and bank protocols including SWIFT, Host-to-Host (H2H, a direct file channel to the bank), API and SFTP. It gives no bank count. Capterra reviewers report bank connections that sometimes break or show duplicate transactions.
Kyriba states connections to more than 10,000 banks, manages 28 percent of SWIFT corporate BICs according to its own page, and keeps a library of more than 73,000 payment format scenarios. It names SAP, Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, Dynamics 365 and Workday and offers an open API platform and a low-code App Studio. In November 2025 it says it moved 15 financial institutions through the ISO 20022 migration.
Kyriba's public pages do not name DATEV. A German midsize company on DATEV should ask Kyriba for the exact connector, its cost and who maintains it.
Data hosting and compliance: Belgium and a pending SOC 2 against AWS and a full report set
Agicap's security page says data sits in Google Cloud data centers in Belgium, is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher in transit and AES-256 at rest, is replicated across separate data centers and is tested by external penetration tests. It states GDPR compliance and a data processing agreement (DPA, the contract required by Art. 28 GDPR when a vendor handles your data). ISO 27001:2022 has applied since 2024. The trust center shows a SOC 2 Type 2 report as in progress as of October 2026, so there is no finished report yet.
Kyriba's trust center lists ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3 Type II reports, TISAX, GDPR compliance and certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which governs transfers of personal data to certified US companies. It also calls itself SWIFT compatible. Hosting is on Amazon Web Services. A separate AI page says data residency is available across the EU, APAC and North America, but no public page tells you which region your tenant uses, so fix it in the contract.
A SOC 1 report matters when the tool touches payments that feed your financial statements, because auditors often ask for it. Agicap has none listed, and Kyriba does. TISAX is the information security assessment of the German automotive industry and matters if you supply carmakers.
In our directory, 7 treasury tools state that they can host data in the EU. Agicap is one of them.
Company profile and country fit: France and Germany versus global groups
TechCrunch reported in November 2024 that Agicap serves 8,000 customers, about half in France, with an average of 15 bank accounts each. Typical revenue is 5 to 10 million euros, reaching up to 500 million. It raised 45 million euros from AVP. In Germany it operates as Agicap GmbH in Berlin, with a managing director and commercial register entry in its imprint.
Kyriba said in October 2024 that it serves close to 3,000 customers in 170 countries. At that time General Atlantic joined as a minority investor at a valuation above 3 billion dollars, with Bridgepoint staying majority owner. Its contact page lists 10 offices, including Frankfurt as a c/o address at a corporate services firm, so ask where German implementation staff sit.
For German buyers, two rules shape the decision. E-invoices have been mandatory to receive for all businesses since January 1, 2025, and issuing becomes mandatory in stages until 2028 according to the IHK. If treasury and receivables data come from DATEV, check how each tool handles XRechnung and ZUGFeRD files. Second, a works council (Betriebsrat) has co-determination rights under § 87 Abs. 1 Nr. 6 BetrVG for technical systems meant to monitor behavior or performance. A treasury tool with user logs and an AI assistant can fall under it, so involve the council early if you have one.
The EU AI Act applies to AI use from the dates the Commission lists, and its AI literacy duty has applied since February 2, 2025. The high-risk rules for areas such as employment follow on December 2, 2027. Cash forecasting and reconciliation are not on that list, but transparency duties for AI that talks to people start in August 2026.
Where each tool is weaker, and how to decide
Agicap's limits follow from its target. It lists no FX, debt or interest rate risk module, it has no SOC 2 report yet, it does not publish a bank count, and reviewers report unreliable bank connectors and a setup that took longer than planned. A group with dozens of legal entities will outgrow it.
Kyriba's limits follow from its scope. It has no published prices, no free trial, no public DATEV connector and no named hosting region. Reviewers describe a steep learning curve and difficult implementations, so expect a project with treasury, IT and audit involved.
A quick test: list what your team does each week. If most tasks are forecasting, chasing receivables and approving payments, start with Agicap. If most involve bank connectivity in many countries, hedging and investment approvals, start with Kyriba. If you are unsure, compare with Kyriba vs Trovata or Agicap vs Tidely.
Who should pick Agicap and who Kyriba
- Your company has a few million to a few hundred million euros in revenue and no dedicated treasury team.

- Your auditors or customers ask for SOC 1 Type II reports or TISAX.

Agicap vs Kyriba: frequently asked questions
Is Agicap cheaper than Kyriba?
Neither publishes prices, so no verified comparison exists. Agicap makes individual offers to midsize companies and offers a free trial. Kyriba sells to large groups after a value advisory. For a midsize company, Agicap's scope is usually the closer match and the likelier lower spend, but only quotes can confirm it.
Do Agicap and Kyriba connect to DATEV?
Agicap documents a two-way DATEV connection and says setup takes a few hours. Kyriba's public pages name SAP, Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, Dynamics 365 and Workday but not DATEV, so ask for the specific connector.
Where do Agicap and Kyriba store data?
Agicap hosts on Google Cloud in Belgium according to its security page. Kyriba runs on Amazon Web Services and states regional data residency across the EU, APAC and North America. It does not name the region for your tenant, so get it in writing.
Which certifications do they hold?
Agicap holds ISO 27001:2022 and lists a SOC 2 Type 2 report as in progress. Kyriba lists ISO 27001, SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3 Type II reports, TISAX and Data Privacy Framework certification. Ask both for current reports under a non-disclosure agreement.
The bottom line
Size decides this pair. A German or French midsize company that wants a rolling forecast, payments and a DATEV link with published EU hosting should start with Agicap and use the free trial. A group with a treasury department, many banks and risk positions to hedge needs the scope, the bank reach and the SOC reports of Kyriba. In both cases, get prices, contract terms and the hosting region in writing before you sign.
