Laiye is a Chinese automation vendor whose platform combines agentic process automation, document processing and prebuilt AI agents for governments and enterprises. It suits large organizations, especially with operations in China.

Laiye's Work Execution Platform brings together Laiye Worker, a digital assistant for employees, Laiye Shifu for governing AI agents, and skills for agentic process automation (APA), agentic document processing (ADP) and customer experience. Laiye is headquartered in Beijing, with further sites in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The vendor states it serves more than 300 Fortune 500 and China Top 500 companies and has more than one million registered developers. It is named a Visionary in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for intelligent document processing, according to its website.

• Extracts data from business documentsAgentic Document Processing reads invoices, purchase orders, receipts and identity documents and returns structured fields such as vendor, amount, date and line items. According to the vendor it works from a single sample without annotation, so finance and operations teams can start without training a model.
• Handles many languages in one pipelineThe document engine supports more than 100 languages and mixed-script documents. Shared service centers that receive documents from several countries can process them in one flow.
• Builds automations with agent helpThe APA Community Edition uses agents for requirement analysis, technical design, code generation and debugging of automations. Automation developers get a first draft of a bot faster and spend their time on review.
• Offers prebuilt business agentsLaiye lists prebuilt agents for accounts payable, lead generation, candidate screening and market analysis. Teams can start from a template, but candidate screening touches hiring decisions and needs human oversight.

Laiye does not publish prices or security certifications on its English site, so request them before a tender. Clarify where cloud data is stored and whether an on-premises setup is needed for data outside China. If you use the candidate screening agent in the EU, it counts as high-risk under the EU AI Act, with obligations applying from December 2, 2027, and needs human oversight.
