Portkey (Prisma AIRS AI Gateway) AI features and pricing (October 2026)

Portkey is an AI gateway that sits between applications and language model providers. It routes requests, applies guardrails, balances load and logs every call, so development and platform teams can run AI features in production with oversight.

Portkey offers an open-source gateway under the MIT license and a managed cloud service with observability, prompt management and governance features. Portkey, Inc. is based in San Francisco. Palo Alto Networks completed its acquisition of Portkey on May 29, 2026, and the website now presents the product as Prisma AIRS AI Gateway. The Enterprise plan adds single sign-on, configurable retention and deployment in a private cloud or VPC.

The cloud plans store logs of prompts and responses, so decide what may be logged and for how long; the Developer plan keeps logs for 3 days and Production for 30 days. Single sign-on and private deployment require the Enterprise plan. Ask where cloud logs are hosted, and clarify in your vendor assessment how the ownership by Palo Alto Networks affects contracts and the product roadmap.
