What is Tines?
Tines is a workflow automation platform for security and IT teams. It connects tools through workflows and adds AI agents, chat copilots and MCP connectivity, running in Tines' cloud, self-hosted or hybrid.
Teams build workflows that connect their tools and run steps such as enrichment, ticket creation or approvals. Tines was founded in 2018 by two former security practitioners and is based in Dublin, Ireland. The free edition allows unlimited users and connectors with up to three live workflows. Paid editions remove the workflow limit, add flexible deployment and let customers bring their own AI model.
Tines AI features and use cases
- Runs an IT help desk copilotTines names IT help desk copilots as a use case: employees ask questions in chat, pages or Slack and trigger approved workflows. Routine requests such as access or resets run without manual handoffs.
- Triages alerts with AI agentsAI agents assist with investigations and alert triage, gather context from connected systems and coordinate the next steps. Analysts start from a prepared case and spend less time on repetitive lookups.
- Gives AI controlled system accessThrough MCP servers and clients, AI tools reach company systems only in the ways the workflows allow. IT keeps control over which actions an AI may take.
What sets Tines apart
- Runs in Tines' shared cloud, self-hosted or hybrid, and customers can bring their own AI provider instead of the AWS Bedrock default.
- The trust center lists ISO/IEC 42001:2023 for AI management systems alongside ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II.
