What is Codacy?
Codacy scans code for quality and security problems in the IDE and in pull requests and adds an AI reviewer and guardrails for code produced by coding agents, for teams from single developers to larger engineering organizations.
Codacy combines static analysis, security scanning and coverage reports across 49 programming languages. The free Developer plan is an IDE plugin that scans code as it is typed. The Team plan adds cloud scans on GitHub, Bitbucket and GitLab, coverage reports, Jira and Slack integration and the AI Reviewer. Business adds license and container scanning, DAST, custom rules and SAML SSO. Codacy operates from Lisbon and says it serves more than 15,000 organizations.

The AI Reviewer and merge gates for pull requests start with the Team plan; the free Developer plugin includes AI Guardrails in the editor. SAML SSO and audit logs require Business. A public data processing agreement and subprocessor list were not found on the website in September 2026, so request them before rollout.
