What is Qodo?

Qodo, formerly CodiumAI, is an AI code review platform that checks pull requests, code in the editor and output from coding agents against a team's own rules, for development teams from small groups to large enterprises.

Qodo reviews pull requests on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and Gerrit and offers plugins for VS Code, JetBrains IDEs and Visual Studio as well as a CLI that adds a quality layer for coding agents. Specialized review agents take the whole codebase into account, a Rules Miner derives coding standards from pull request history, and cross-repository review catches breaking changes in shared libraries. The contracting entity is Codium Ltd. (Qodo) in Tel Aviv. The Enterprise plan adds single-tenant SaaS or on-premises deployment, SSO and bring your own LLM keys.

Qodo AI features and use cases

  • Reviews pull requests with codebase contextQodo reads a pull request together with related code from the repository and comments on bugs and rule violations. Reviewers see issues that span several files, which a diff-only view can miss.
  • Enforces team rulesThe rules system records coding standards, and the Rules Miner discovers them from past pull requests. Teams keep conventions consistent across repositories; the advanced self-learning system is part of the Enterprise plan.
  • Checks agent-written codeA CLI lets coding agents run Qodo checks on the code they produce, including code from tools such as Copilot and Cursor. Code from agents passes through the same quality gate as code written by people.

What sets Qodo apart

  • In the Enterprise plan, customers can bring their own LLM keys.
  • According to the vendor, code is analyzed and discarded with zero data retention and is not used for training.
  • Billing is per team through pooled credits at $0.012 per credit, not per seat.

Questions to ask before you buy Qodo

Estimate review volume first: the Pro Team plan is billed through pooled credits that do not roll over, and overage runs at the same credit rate up to a cap you set. The public data processing addendum lists Google Cloud (US or EU) and AWS (US, EU or Australia) as subprocessors, with the region at the customer's election, so specify the region in the contract. SSO and on-premises deployment require Enterprise.
