What is Coursebox?
Coursebox is an AI course builder with its own learning platform, aimed at small training teams, training providers and organizations that need to produce courses quickly, with an AI tutor and automated grading for learners.
Coursebox Pty Ltd is based in Australia. The product combines course generation with course delivery: courses built with AI can be published to learners directly on the Coursebox platform, with no per-learner fees on any plan. The vendor names healthcare, corporate training, education, government and professional training providers as target groups. Self-serve plans are bought by credit card and can be cancelled at any time, while the Enterprise plan runs on a signed agreement with SSO, SLA and custom hosting. It suits small firms and training providers without a dedicated L&D team.

- Builds a course from a handbookThe course generator turns documents or a prompt into a structured course with lessons, quizzes, video and scenarios. A training team can convert a staff handbook into an onboarding course in one pass and then edit it.
- Answers learner questionsEach course can include an AI tutor that is limited to the course content. Learners get answers to their questions while studying, and trainers receive fewer repeated questions by email.
- Grades assessmentsAI marks multiple-choice, scenario and open-ended questions and gives learners immediate, personalized feedback. Trainers save grading time, especially for written answers.
- Produces video and visualsCoursebox generates avatar videos in many languages, images and diagrams for course content. Small teams can add video without filming or hiring a studio.
What sets Coursebox apart
- No per-learner fees: every plan, including the free plan, allows unlimited learners.
- Portals are hosted on Google Cloud in the EU (France) by default; business and enterprise customers can choose other Google Cloud regions.
- The privacy policy names the AI providers used, including Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral, HeyGen and ElevenLabs.

Questions to ask before you buy Coursebox
Coursebox itself held no ISO/IEC 27001 certificate when we checked in September 2026; the security page lists the certification as in progress and names certifications of the hosting provider Google Cloud. A data processing agreement is not published; the vendor provides it through support@coursebox.ai, and the Enterprise plan includes it. Review the list of AI providers. AI generation draws on plan credits, so check the allowance before a large content project.
