Datarails AI features and pricing (October 2026)

Datarails is a finance platform for midsize companies that work in Excel. It pulls data from many systems into one governed base for reporting, planning and close, and its AI agents explain numbers, run analyses and build board presentations.

Datarails FinanceOS connects to more than 600 data sources, including NetSuite, Xero, Salesforce, Workday and Snowflake, and keeps Excel as the working surface with version control and an audit trail. Modules cover FP&A reporting and planning, Month-End Close, Cash with 13-week forecasting, Spend Control and Desk, a queue for requests to the finance team. Since March 2026 the FinanceOS AI Connector links this data to external AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. Datarails says more than 2,000 companies use it and has offices in Great Neck, New York, and Tel Aviv. The entry plan includes two users, so a small finance team is enough to start.

• Explains the drivers behind actualsThe Reporting Agent analyzes actuals, finds the drivers behind a change and writes the story behind the numbers. Controllers get a first explanation of the month from consolidated data and spend their time checking it.
• Tests scenarios on requestThe Planning Agent runs ad hoc forecasts and what-if questions and compares scenarios on the planning data. FP&A can answer a question from management in the same meeting and does not need to rebuild the model first.
• Sends scheduled summariesInsights produces summaries and analyses on a schedule, with the KPIs, frequency and recipients set by the finance team. Managers receive a regular written update without an analyst preparing it by hand each time.
• Builds board presentationsAI Storyboards turn Datarails dashboards and data into a presentation with commentary in a few clicks. The finance lead saves the monthly work of copying charts into slides and writing the narrative from scratch.
• Drafts replies to finance requestsDatarails Desk collects questions from budget owners in one queue, links them to the underlying data and lets the AI draft an answer for review. The team replies faster and keeps a record of every request.

• Excel stays the main interface, with a central database, version control and audit trail behind it.
• Through the Model Context Protocol, the FinanceOS AI Connector gives Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot permission-based access to consolidated financials.
• Plans include 2, 5 or 15 users, and the Expert plan adds one of Cash, Month-End Close or Spend Control at no extra cost.

Datarails lists offices in Great Neck, New York, and Tel Aviv.

Prices are quoted individually, and AI Storyboards start with the Premium plan, so compare the plans by users, integrations and AI scope. Customer data is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the US, Canada or the UK, and Azure OpenAI and OpenAI in the US process data for AI features. If EU personal data is involved, review the published data processing agreement and its transfer clauses. Check that your ERP is among the 600 sources.
