What is Dust?
Dust is a platform for building AI agents that work with a company's own data and tools, aimed at teams that want to create assistants for their workflows without programming, with EU or US hosting.
Dust lets teams create agents on top of more than 20 models and connect them to company data through connectors and remote MCP servers. The self-serve Business plan covers up to 100 people with SSO via Okta, Entra ID or JumpCloud and SOC 2 Type II. Enterprise adds unlimited connectors, pooled credits, SCIM, audit logs, custom data retention, single-tenant options and SLA support. Dust is run by Permutation Labs in Paris.
Dust AI features and use cases
- Builds team-specific agentsBusiness teams configure agents with instructions, a chosen model and access to selected data. Sales, support or operations each get an assistant for their own process.
- Grounds answers in company dataConnectors bring documents and tools into the agent's context. Answers refer to internal material instead of general knowledge.
- Connects tools through MCPRemote MCP servers extend agents with actions in other systems. Agents can look up or update records as part of a task.
What sets Dust apart
- Choice of EU or US hosting, with single-tenant options for Enterprise.
- Model providers are contractually barred from training on customer data and use zero data retention, according to Dust.
Where Dust is strongest
Dust is operated by Permutation Labs, based in Paris.
