Heidi Health AI features, pricing and GDPR (October 2026)

Heidi is an AI scribe and clinical assistant for individual clinicians, practices and larger organizations. It transcribes consultations, drafts notes and letters, and answers evidence questions, with a free plan and local data hosting in several regions.

Heidi Health is based in Melbourne and runs local entities in the UK, Canada and the US. The product combines Scribe for consultation notes with Evidence for cited clinical answers, plus workflows for incoming documents, telehealth, patient communication and physician correspondence. The German site lists integration with practice and hospital systems. Plans range from Free to Premium or Clinician, a practice or team plan with centralized billing, and Enterprise, which adds single sign-on.

• Transcribes and writes notesScribe records the consultation, transcribes it and fills a note template. On the free plan transcription is unlimited, which lets a single clinician test the workflow in daily practice before paying.
• Answers with sourcesEvidence answers clinical questions and shows transparent citations. Paid plans add premium research sources and a personal evidence library, so clinicians can trace where an answer comes from. Evidence is also available on the free plan without a usage cap.
• Drafts letters and patient messagesFrom the documented consultation Heidi drafts physician letters and patient communication. Practices spend less time on correspondence, while the clinician reviews and sends each document. Drafts reuse the content already captured during the consultation, so details are not typed twice.
• Handles incoming documentsHeidi processes incoming documents such as reports for the practice. Staff get structured content to review instead of reading every page from scratch. The content can then be linked to the right patient session for later reference.

• Localized data storage for customers in Australia, Canada, the US, the UK and the EU; German customers are hosted in Germany.

Consultation recordings are health data under Art. 9 GDPR, so patient information and consent must be in place. Heidi states that German data stays in Germany, that patient data is de-identified before reaching AI models and is not used for training, and that a German DPA under Art. 28 GDPR exists. Prices for paid plans are not public, so request a quote. A medical device marking was not found during our review in September 2026.
