imc Express AI features, pricing and GDPR (October 2026)

imc Express is an e-learning authoring tool from Scheer IMC that uses AI to turn existing documents into finished online courses with tests, translations and voice-over, aimed at subject experts without instructional design training.

Scheer IMC, legally imc information multimedia communication AG, is based in Saarbrücken and belongs to the Scheer Group. The company has more than 400 employees at 12 locations in Europe, the United States, Singapore and Australia and states that it serves more than 1,300 organizations. Besides the authoring tool imc Express it offers a learning management system, custom learning content and standard content libraries. imc Express produces courses that can be exported as SCORM, PENS or HTML, or shared through a link or QR code, so they also work in other learning platforms. It fits companies with an existing LMS and many internal subject experts.

• Turns documents into coursesimc Express reads Word files and PowerPoint decks and builds an e-learning course from them. Subject experts can reuse material they already have, and the training team spends less time rebuilding slides into interactive modules.
• Creates tests automaticallyThe tool generates tests that match the course content. Course owners get knowledge checks without writing questions from scratch and only need to review and adjust them.
• Translates with one clickCourses can be translated into more than 70 languages, according to the vendor. International companies can publish the same training for several countries with far less manual translation work.
• Adds voice-over and layoutAI produces voice-overs for the course and applies a layout that follows the company's brand guidelines. Training teams avoid recording sessions and manual design work for every new module.

• Made by a German LMS vendor that has worked with large German corporations for years; the enterprise LMS imc Learning Suite comes from the same company.
• Export as SCORM, PENS or HTML, so courses also run in LMS platforms from other vendors.
• Aimed at subject experts without instructional design background.

Scheer IMC is based in Saarbrücken and names many German corporations as customers, including BASF, BMW, Bosch, Lufthansa, Volkswagen, Audi and STIHL.

Ask where imc Express stores uploaded documents and which AI services process them: the privacy statement names AWS and Cloudflare as infrastructure providers, but the product pages we checked in September 2026 state no hosting region and no certifications for imc Express. Prices are only available on request. Check whether your LMS accepts SCORM or PENS packages.
