Khanmigo is the AI tutor and teaching assistant of the nonprofit Khan Academy. Students get guided help instead of ready answers, teachers get planning tools, and school districts buy it as a package with analytics and rostering.

Khanmigo builds on the Khan Academy course library in math, science, coding, history and the humanities, from elementary school to college level. Teachers in 44 countries or territories can use the teacher tools for free. Students under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign up, or they get access through a school district partnership. District plans add district and school data for instructional decisions, automatic rostering and single sign-on via Clever SecureSync or ClassLink, a dedicated customer success manager and professional learning on AI. The learner and parent plan is available to US residents only. Buyers are school districts and schools, not individual companies.

The privacy policy could not be read without JavaScript in our September 2026 review, so ask where student data is hosted, which AI providers process it and how this fits FERPA, COPPA and state student privacy laws before a district rollout. Schools in the EU also need to clarify data transfers and a data processing agreement. Roster sync and SSO require Clever SecureSync or ClassLink. District pricing is only available on request.
