What is LogicGate Risk Cloud?

LogicGate Risk Cloud is a governance, risk and compliance platform for mid-size and large organizations. Finance and audit teams use its SOX, controls compliance and internal audit applications, supported by opt-in AI that tests controls, fills forms and drafts compliance text.

Risk Cloud offers more than 30 applications, including SOX Compliance, Controls Compliance, Internal Audit Management, enterprise and operational risk, third-party risk, policy management and AI governance. Internal audit features cover central evidence management, automated evidence collection and report generation. LogicGate is headquartered in Chicago and reports more than 20,000 active users. Customers buy the applications they need plus Power User licenses for the people who run the program. Newer agent features include GRC Agents and Config Newton, which the vendor describes as an agentic GRC engineer for building programs.

LogicGate Risk Cloud AI features and use cases

  • Runs first-pass control testsAutomated Control Testing evaluates controls based on the latest evidence and performs a first review at scale. SOX and audit teams start from a pre-assessed control set and spend their time on exceptions.
  • Fills forms from documentsAutofill populates form fields from existing documentation or a short prompt. Control owners and auditors enter less data by hand when documenting controls, risks or issues, and records are more complete when the review starts.
  • Drafts compliance textText Assistant drafts risk and compliance material, policies and team communications based on industry standards and the organization's requirements. Teams get a first version to edit instead of writing from a blank page.
  • Links records and reports insightsRecord and bulk linking recommendations suggest connections between risks, controls and other records, and Reporting Insights turns program data into summaries. This reduces duplicate records and helps audit leads see gaps across the program.

What sets LogicGate Risk Cloud apart

  • Licenses are priced per Power User who runs the program, while standard and external users are included at no extra cost.
  • Foundational AI features are opt-in, can be switched off by administrators and come without extra fees across all applications.
  • Uses OpenAI models through the API, and the vendor states that data sent this way is not used to train OpenAI models.

Questions to ask before you buy LogicGate Risk Cloud

LogicGate publishes its pricing model but not amounts, so count Power Users and applications before asking for a quote. Customers can choose among four data centers; ask where they are located, since the public page does not name regions. The data processing addendum and subprocessor list are public. Decide whether to enable the AI features, which send data to OpenAI with a 30-day retention, and agree with your external auditor how AI-assisted control tests are reviewed.
