The company is legally TestGorilla B.V., headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, founded in 2019, and not owned by a larger parent group.

Typical users are recruiters, hiring managers, and HR teams at small and midsize companies as well as larger enterprises, screening applicants before interviews or sourcing candidates directly from TestGorilla's pool of tested talent. The company states it has around 330 staff, serves talent teams in more than 40 countries, and that about 5 million candidates take a TestGorilla assessment each year.

• Measures AI fluency, not just AI useThe AI Fluency assessment suite, built on a five-pillar framework covering applied AI use, learning agility, systems thinking, responsible use, and human-AI collaboration, tests whether a candidate can work effectively and responsibly with AI tools rather than just whether they have used one. Before buying, note that paid plans require an annual commitment even though they are billed monthly, and that ATS integrations and full AI-interview customization only unlock on the Plus tier and above. Confirm the data processing agreement and hosting details with TestGorilla for your contract. Because AI interviews and resume scoring evaluate candidates, German employers should involve the works council under Section 87(1) No. 6 BetrVG and treat hiring uses as high-risk under the EU AI Act from December 2027.
