What is BRYTER?

BRYTER is a Frankfurt software company for legal and compliance teams. Its BEAMON AI assistant supports drafting, contract review and research, and the BRYTER Workflows platform automates legal processes with rules and AI, without programming.

BEAMON AI bundles two core features: Assist for drafting, summarizing, translating and researching legal documents, and Extract for reviewing many documents at once and presenting key data in tables. A Word add-in brings drafting and redlining into Microsoft Word, and connectors for iManage and SharePoint ground answers in firm documents. BRYTER Workflows is a no-code platform for approval workflows, document automation, client portals and legal intake. BRYTER GmbH is registered in Frankfurt with subsidiaries in New York and London and serves law firms and in-house legal teams. A Single license covers individual lawyers, while BRYTER Workflows targets larger organizations.

BRYTER AI features and use cases

  • Drafts and researches legal documentsBEAMON Assist switches between modes for summaries, research, drafting, translation and comparison. Chats can be grounded in legal sources and content partner databases, with footnotes linking each statement to its source. Lawyers get a traceable first version for routine tasks.
  • Reviews contracts against playbooksThe AI compares contracts such as NDAs and DPAs with the team's playbooks and benchmark clauses, highlights risks and proposes changes. In-house teams handle standard contracts faster and apply the same positions across reviewers.
  • Extracts data from document setsBEAMON Extract reads many documents in one project, pulls out key terms and shows the results in a table for review. It supports due diligence, repapering and chronologies. Teams check structured results and read fewer files one by one.
  • Combines AI with rule-based workflowsBRYTER Workflows links AI steps with a rule engine for approvals, risk assessments and document automation. In the BEAMON Pro license, a Workflow Builder automates multi-step legal workflows. Legal teams automate recurring requests while defined rules keep control of the result.

Questions to ask before you buy BRYTER

Prices are quoted on request, so match the BEAMON license types to the number of users you need; single sign-on requires the Pro license. Choose the hosting region when you sign, because EU data stays in Frankfurt only in the EU setup. BRYTER publishes its data processing addenda online. The Otto Schmidt integration needs a separate subscription with that publisher.
