What is Confido?

Confido is finance and operations software for consumer packaged goods brands that sell through retailers and distributors. It automates cash application, deduction management and retailer disputes, and adds trade promotion management, sales forecasting and demand planning on a shared data layer.

The Accounting & Finance plan covers cash application, deduction management, auto-disputes and accrual management; the Sales & Operations plan covers trade promotion management, sales forecasting, demand and supply planning and sales analytics. Confido pulls data from more than 70 retailers, distributors, ERPs and accounting systems, including Walmart, Target, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Sage and Dynamics 365.

The company is based in New York, went through Y Combinator in summer 2021 and names more than 250 consumer brands as customers, among them divisions of Unilever, Mars and Nestlé. It announced a $55 million Series B led by Insight Partners. A Starter plan targets young brands.

Confido AI features and use cases

  • Matches payments to invoicesCash application reads incoming remittances, uses AI to extract invoice numbers, amounts and deduction reasons and matches payments to open invoices. Results sync both ways with the ERP, so receivables staff key in fewer payments by hand.
  • Files retailer disputesAuto-Disputes submits and follows up on disputes with AI and rule-based workflows, retrieves freight documents automatically and drafts the dispute messages. Deduction analysts spend less time assembling backup for each retailer portal and can track recovery per dispute.
  • Reads trade contractsAI Contract Reading, launched in May 2025, scans uploaded PDF trade contracts, extracts key terms and links them to the matching promotions. Accounting teams can map deductions back to the contract and see where a deduction does not match what was agreed.
