What is Tabs?

Tabs automates the contract-to-cash cycle for B2B companies with usage-based, subscription or hybrid pricing. AI reads contracts to set up billing, and agents send invoices, follow up on payments and reconcile cash.

Tabs covers billing, collections, revenue recognition under ASC 606 and reporting in one platform. It supports usage metering, subscriptions and hybrid models and connects to systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Stripe, HubSpot and DocuSign, plus an API and an MCP server. Every plan includes the AI features and an implementation with data migration and training. Tabs is based in New York. Plans are tiered by annual revenue and number of active contracts, starting with a Launch plan for companies below $5 million in revenue.

Tabs AI features and use cases

  • Extracts billing terms from contractsTabs AI reads signed contracts, CRM records and payment platform data and identifies pricing, billing terms and renewal clauses. It stores them in a Commercial Graph, so billing does not depend on someone copying terms into a spreadsheet.
  • Generates invoicesInvoices are created from the captured contract terms and usage data, including usage-based and hybrid models. Billing specialists review and send instead of calculating each invoice by hand. Usage data from metering flows into the invoice automatically.
  • Follows up on open invoicesCollection agents send payment reminders and follow-ups on their own. Team members approve suggested actions with one click in Slack or email, which keeps collections moving without a separate tool to learn.
  • Applies cash and reconcilesBackground agents apply incoming payments to invoices, prepare revenue recognition entries and reconcile the results. Exceptions are flagged for review, which shortens the month-end work for the accounting team. Every agent action keeps an audit-ready record.

What sets Tabs apart

  • Combines billing, collections and ASC 606 revenue recognition, which suits companies with usage-based or hybrid pricing.
  • Publishes a starting price of $2,000 per month and includes AI features in every plan.
  • Approvals for agent actions can be given directly in Slack or email.

Where Tabs is strongest

Tabs is based in New York, and its pricing and revenue recognition are built for US companies following ASC 606.

Questions to ask before you buy Tabs

Tabs is designed around US GAAP and ASC 606, so companies reporting under IFRS or local GAAP should check how revenue schedules map to their rules. Data may be stored and processed in the United States, and the subprocessor list is only available on request, so ask for it together with a data processing agreement. Multi-entity and international support are add-ons, which affects the price.
