What is Mobilexpense?

Mobilexpense is expense management software from Brussels, part of Visma, with Declaree for midsize companies and MXP for multinationals, using AI to capture, categorize and validate receipts and to detect duplicates and anomalies.

Mobilexpense sells three products: Declaree for small and midsize companies from 20 users, MXP for large enterprises with multi-country compliance, and Expense for smaller Nordic companies. All cover mobile and desktop submission with receipt scanning, multiple currencies, VAT rates, mileage, per diems and ERP and HR integrations, with corporate cards and CO2 tracking as add-ons. Founded in 2000 and based in Brussels, the company was acquired by Visma in 2024 and reports more than 3,000 customer organizations.

Mobilexpense AI features and use cases

  • Captures and validates receiptsAI reads receipts, assigns categories and validates the data before the expense is submitted. Employees correct less, and finance receives cleaner expense data for VAT and accounting. This matters most at month-end, when many receipts arrive at once.
  • Detects duplicates and enforces policyMobilexpense detects duplicate expenses and applies the expense policy in real time. Violations surface when the expense is created rather than at approval or audit. This supports the internal control system without adding manual review steps.
  • Highlights anomaliesThe AI detects anomalies and surfaces spending patterns across the organization. Controllers can spot unusual costs by team or category without building their own analysis. This supports cost control without extra manual analysis.

What sets Mobilexpense apart

  • Separates products by company size: Declaree for midsize firms, MXP for multinationals in 100+ countries.
  • Part of the Visma group since 2024, a European software group.
  • Publishes a per user price for Declaree, with a minimum of 20 users.
