Tandem Health is a European AI scribe for clinicians in practices and hospitals. It records consultations, drafts notes, letters and codes, and sends them to the record system, with data processed in European data centers.

Tandem Health AB is a Swedish company whose product is developed with input from more than 75 clinicians, according to the vendor. It covers note generation, coding, guideline-based answers and dictation, plus one-click transfer to more than 100 medical record systems across Europe. The vendor states more than 10,000 care organizations use it. A free plan suits individual clinicians, Pro adds unlimited templates and transfers, and Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM, custom integrations and configurable data retention.

• Writes consultation notesThe AI Scribe listens to the consultation and drafts a structured note, plus documents such as letters. Clinicians review the draft and spend less time typing between patients. Custom templates adapt the output to each specialty.
• Suggests codesThe Coding Assistant proposes diagnosis and procedure codes in ICD-10 and SNOMED based on the documented consultation. Practices get more consistent coding and fewer omissions before billing. The clinician confirms every suggested code before it is used.
• Answers guideline questionsClinical decision support gives guideline-based answers during the visit. Doctors can check a recommendation without switching to a separate reference tool. Answers relate to the consultation that is being documented, so the question does not need to be retyped elsewhere.
• Edits by voiceDictate Anywhere lets users change or add to notes by speaking. This helps when hands are busy or when a note needs a quick correction after the patient has left.

• CE marked as a Class IIa medical device under the EU MDR, with ISO 13485 and ISO/IEC 27001 certification according to the vendor.
• Patient data is processed and stored in European data centers, and audio is not retained, according to the security page.
• Public pricing with a free plan and a Pro plan at €125 per user per month billed yearly.

Consultation content is health data under Art. 9 GDPR, so clarify the legal basis and patient information before recording. Tandem states EU data centers and no audio retention; request the DPA and subprocessor list from its trust center. The MDR Class IIa marking covers the vendor's stated medical device scope, and clinicians still sign off every note and code. Check that your record system is among the supported integrations.
