What is Yooz?

Yooz is cloud software that automates accounts payable and purchase to pay for small and midsize companies and accounting firms. It captures invoices, suggests accounting entries, runs approval workflows and checks invoices for fraud with AI before payment.

Yooz covers invoice capture, approval workflows, purchase orders, payment automation, vendor statement reconciliation and budget management, with a mobile app for approvals. It connects to more than 250 ERP and accounting systems, among them QuickBooks, Sage, Acumatica and Microsoft Dynamics 365, and handles French e-invoicing formats such as Factur-X and CII as a platform approved by the tax authority DGFiP.

The company is based in Aimargues, France, and reports more than 7,000 customers, 600,000 users and over 300 million processed invoices. Pricing is a monthly subscription by volume, which makes it usable for small finance teams and for accounting firms serving several clients.

Yooz AI features and use cases

  • Recognizes and routes invoice dataThe AI recognizes data on invoices with varying layouts, checks whether the values are consistent and routes the document into the right workflow. Accounts payable teams stop keying in supplier invoices and only correct cases the system flags.
  • Suggests accounting entriesYooz proposes booking entries based on the extracted data and learns from every correction a user makes. Bookkeepers and accounting firms spend less time on repetitive coding for recurring suppliers.
  • Detects forged invoicesSmart Fake Detection uses machine learning to analyze invoice metadata and document characteristics and flags invoices that look forged or altered before they are processed. Fraud attempts are caught at intake rather than after payment.
  • Spots unusual payment patternsA statistical behavior analysis compares new invoices with the vendor's payment history and flags irregular patterns before payment. A separate rule-based check compares the IBAN or account number on each invoice with the approved vendor data and raises an alert when payment details change.

What sets Yooz apart

  • Registered with the French tax authority DGFiP as an approved e-invoicing platform, relevant for France's e-invoicing mandate.
  • Separate edition for accounting firms, so firms can process supplier invoices for several client companies in one system.
  • Fraud prevention in the AP workflow with forensic analysis of invoice metadata, statistical detection of irregular payment patterns and an IBAN check against the vendor master data.

Questions to ask before you buy Yooz

According to the security page, customer data is hosted in Microsoft Azure data centers in Europe, and Yooz holds a SOC 1 Type 2 report, which helps with external audits. Request the data processing agreement and the subprocessor list, since neither is published. Confirm the connector for your ERP among the 250 integrations. If you plan to pay suppliers through Yooz, note that Yooz is registered as an intermediary of the payment institution Swan. Outside France, check which e-invoicing formats and networks your country requires.
