Best AI email marketing tools: 7 tools ranked on what vendors publish (October 2026)

As of October 20, 2026, the best AI email marketing tool among the 7 I checked is Brevo for a team that wants the lowest published price, followed by Klaviyo for stores on Shopify or WooCommerce and Mailchimp for a free start with a trial of the paid plans. At 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails a month Brevo lists $97, Mailchimp Standard $135, ActiveCampaign Starter $149 and Klaviyo $150, while Braze, Iterable and Insider One publish no amount. The order ranks what a buyer can verify on vendor pages, and I did not measure whether any tool's AI raises opens or revenue.

At a glance
  • Best if you want the lowest published price at 50,000 emails a month: Brevo
  • Best if you sell through Shopify, WooCommerce or another store platform: Klaviyo
  • Best if you want a free plan and a 14-day trial of the paid plans: Mailchimp
  • Best if you want predictive sending and conditional content at a published price: ActiveCampaign
  • Best if you message an app and web audience in many countries and can go through sales: Braze

On October 20, 2026 I went through the pricing, security and product pages of 7 email marketing platforms from our directory, which lists 16 tools in this niche. I kept the 7 that send campaigns or journeys by email and name AI features on their own pages, and I read the pages of 3 more that I left out below.

The search "best ai email marketing tools" mixes self-serve senders with enterprise engagement suites, so I put one number on all of them: the monthly list price at 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails. Four vendors publish it. ai-toolfinder takes no payment from any of these vendors, and no vendor pays for a place in the order.

Seven tools, four published prices: what 10,000 contacts and 50,000 emails cost a month

For Klaviyo, Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign I opened the pricing page, set the contact selector to 10,000 and read the price it showed. For Brevo I added the Standard base price and the 40,001 to 50,000 email tier from the pricing data Brevo publishes. Braze says pricing scales with monthly active users, and I found no amount on the Iterable or Insider One pages I opened.

Brevo Standard is the cheapest line: $97 a month on monthly billing ($18 base plus $79 for the 50,000 email tier), or $1,047 for a year on annual billing. Mailchimp lists Essentials at $110 and Standard at $135. ActiveCampaign lists Starter at $149 and Plus at $189 a month, billed yearly. Klaviyo lists $150 for 10,000 active profiles.

Plans differ in how they cap sending. Klaviyo and ActiveCampaign Starter allow 10 times the contact count in emails, which is 100,000 here. Mailchimp Essentials allows 10 times and Standard 12 times. Brevo charges for the emails you send and sets the contact limit at 500,000 for this tier.

What this means for you: if your list is large and you send moderately, Brevo costs the least. If you send to every contact often, check the send multiplier before you compare headline prices.

How I ranked the tools

Each tool got 0 to 2 points on four things, so the maximum is 8. Free route is 2 for a free plan, 1 for a trial and 0 when I found neither. AI is 2 when the vendor names at least two AI features for different jobs such as writing, send timing, audiences or analytics, and 1 for one. Email depth is 2 when the pages name journey or automation building plus segmentation or testing. Channels is 2 when email comes with two or more further channels such as SMS, push or WhatsApp, and 1 for one.

Transparency is a separate column and does not move the rank: 1 point each for a monthly price at my benchmark, a certificate named on the vendor's pages and a named hosting region. Ties break on the lower published monthly price, then alphabetically. I read no review sites for this page, so no user ratings are scored, and I ran no campaigns, so no score says whether an AI feature lifts opens or revenue. The whole email marketing category is in our directory.

1. Brevo: best if you want the lowest published price at 50,000 emails a month

Brevo charges for the emails you send, not for the contacts you store: at the 20,000 to 500,000 email tiers the Standard plan allows up to 500,000 contacts. The free plan sends up to 300 emails a day, Starter begins at $9 a month and Standard at $18, each with 5,000 emails included.

Standard adds marketing automation, A/B testing, AI send time optimization and web and event tracking. The AI content generator, which drafts subject lines and email copy, comes with Starter. Professional lists $350 a month as the base price, with 150,000 emails and 10 seats, and adds AI segmentation and an AI Data Analyst through Brevo's Aura AI. The pricing page also lists an MCP connection for ChatGPT and Claude. The security page names ISO 27001:2022 and EU servers, and says Brevo supports GDPR, CASL and CCPA practices.

Not for you if you need single sign-on, which the page lists under Enterprise. What this means for you: at a large list and moderate sending, price the email volume tier, not the contact count. Read the Brevo profile for the rest.

2. Klaviyo: best if you sell through Shopify, WooCommerce or another store platform

Klaviyo ties sends to profiles: 10,000 active profiles list at $150 a month and include up to 100,000 emails. The free plan allows 250 profiles and 500 emails a month, and the cheapest paid step I found is $20 for 500 profiles and 5,000 emails.

The product page names Klaviyo AI (K:AI), the Composer marketing agent, Personalized Send Time, Reputation Repair AI and an image editor called Image Remix. It lists 350+ integrations, among them Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Adobe Commerce. The trust page shows SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27017 and PCI DSS, and the GDPR page says customer data is stored in a US data center on AWS, with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework as the transfer basis. Our directory listed Klaviyo hosting as multi-region, which I corrected.

Not for you if your contract needs EU-only storage, because I found a US data center only. What this means for you: compare $150 with the 100,000 emails it includes before you assume you pay for sending volume you do not use. The Klaviyo profile has the feature list.

3. Mailchimp: best if you want a free plan and a 14-day trial of the paid plans

Mailchimp's free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 sends a month. Paid plans scale sends with contacts: Essentials allows 10 times your contact limit, Standard 12 times and Premium 15 times. At 10,000 contacts the pricing page lists Essentials at $110, Standard at $135 and Premium at $350 a month, and has a 14-day free trial of Standard and Essentials.

Standard lists generative AI features, advanced automations, multivariate testing and advanced segmentation. The What's New page lists Analytics AI and a connector that lets Claude or ChatGPT build email and SMS campaigns, both dated May 18, 2026. The subprocessor list names Microsoft and OpenAI for the AI features in Intuit Assist, and that list shows a last update of February 29, 2024. The security page names ISO 27001 and SOC 2 reports and data centers in the United States.

Not for you if you need data kept in the EU. What this means for you: ask which AI features sit on the plan you are quoted, because the generative ones start at Standard.

4. Braze: best if you message an app and web audience in many countries and can go through sales

Braze names four plans (Go, Select, Pro and Enterprise) and no amounts. Pricing scales with monthly active users, profiles and Action Credits, which pay for cross-channel messaging and AI features. The homepage lists email, mobile app and web messaging, SMS and RCS, WhatsApp, LINE and KakaoTalk.

The BrazeAI documentation marks Intelligent Timing, Intelligent Channel, Predictive Churn, Predictive Events, Item Recommendations, Winning Paths, Braze Agents and BrazeAI Operator as generally available, and Content Optimizer and Decisioning Studio Go as beta. A Braze article dated December 9, 2024 names ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2, both achieved in 2018, and the documentation lists EU-01 and EU-02 instances next to the US ones. I did not find a self-serve start, only a free trial offer.

Not for you if you want a price before a sales call. What this means for you: ask which BrazeAI features your tier includes, since two of them are in beta. The Braze profile has more.

5. ActiveCampaign: best if you want predictive sending at a published price

At 10,000 contacts ActiveCampaign lists four plans billed yearly: Starter $149, Plus $189, Pro $375 and Enterprise $589 a month. Starter and Plus allow 100,000 emails a month, Pro 120,000 and Enterprise 150,000, with 1, 1, 3 and 5 user seats.

Every plan has 500 AI credits a month and AI-powered automation and campaign builders. Generative AI for content and images starts at Plus, and predictive sending at each contact's best time and conditional content start at Pro. A 14-day trial needs no credit card.

The data center page names regional data centers in the EU, US and APAC and assigns accounts by GEO IP address, so the EU is not a free choice. The security page names SOC 2 without a type. Our directory had no hosting for ActiveCampaign, which I corrected.

Not for you if you want AI content tools on the cheapest plan, because Starter has none. What this means for you: the $375 Pro price, not $149, is what predictive sending costs. The ActiveCampaign profile lists integrations.

6. Insider One: best if you want one vendor across nine channels and EU data in Ireland

Insider One sells what it calls an agentic customer engagement system built around Agent One, with Agent One Teams and Agent One Audiences. The homepage lists 9 channels, among them email, SMS and RCS, WhatsApp, web push and mobile app, and says it has 100+ integrations.

The security page names ISO 27001:2013, ISO 22301, SOC 2 Type II, CSA STAR and an ePrivacy Seal, and says services and data are hosted on AWS in Ireland. No price is published and I found no free route, so the entry point is a demo. Our directory had no pricing model for it, which I set to price on request.

Not for you if you want to compare a price online. What this means for you: ask whether the Ireland hosting covers all 9 channels.

Sources: [23][24]

7. Iterable: best if you run cross-channel journeys and want an EU data center option

Iterable's homepage names Nova as its intelligence layer, with Nova Insights, Nova Decisioning and Nova Agents. A blog post lists Copy Assist, Channel Optimization, Frequency Optimization, Next Best Action and AI-Driven Experiments, and says Iterable unveiled a European data center in 2023. The privacy notice says Iterable is ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certified, which our directory lacked and I corrected. No price is published and the homepage points to a demo. Not for you if you want to start without a sales conversation. What this means for you: ask for the EU region in writing, since the vendor's trust center returned a 403 error on October 20, 2026.

Sources: [25][26][27]

Brevo and Insider One name EU hosting, Klaviyo and Mailchimp name the United States

Of the 7, Brevo says its servers are in the EU and Insider One says its services run on AWS in Ireland. Braze lists EU-01 and EU-02 instances, Iterable says it unveiled a European data center, and ActiveCampaign assigns EU accounts to an EU data center by GEO IP address. Klaviyo and Mailchimp name US data centers, and both point to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for transfers.

This is my reading of the vendor pages, not legal advice. What this means for you: if your subscribers include people in the EU or UK, ask each vendor to name the data location and the transfer basis in your contract.

Three or four yes or no questions end on one tool. Each result repeats the price and hosting facts from the sections above.

Self-check

Which tool fits your team?

A rough orientation from what vendors publish, not a replacement for a trial.

Do you need a monthly price you can check before talking to sales?

Tools I checked and left out

Movable Ink builds personalized content for emails at open time and lists Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce and Iterable as verified partners, so it works alongside a sender rather than replacing one. It publishes no price. Jacquard, formerly Phrasee, sells AI copy and brand agents across channels and publishes no price. On Optimove I read only the homepage, which shows AI marketing agents and no price.

Persado and Anyword write marketing copy, and our content marketing round-up covers them. Hightouch is listed under marketing analytics in our directory, where our marketing analytics round-up covers it. Nosto and Bloomreach are listed for product recommendations, so I did not open their pricing pages.
