What is Aleph?

Aleph is an FP&A platform that consolidates financial and operational data for reporting, budgeting and forecasting. It works through a web app and spreadsheet add-ins and adds AI for variance analysis, data mapping and questions from business users.

Aleph connects to more than 150 sources without code, including NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, Snowflake, BigQuery and HR systems. Finance teams build reports, dashboards, budgets, headcount plans and forecasts on this consolidated data and keep working in Excel or Google Sheets through add-ins. The platform targets CFOs, FP&A leads and finance managers; customer stories range from venture-backed start-ups to established companies such as Zapier and Chess.com. Investors named on the website include Bain Capital Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Y Combinator and Picus Capital.

Aleph AI features and use cases

  • Explains month-over-month variancesAI Scan runs flux and variance analysis on the consolidated data and writes commentary on what changed and why it matters. Analysts start the monthly review with a draft explanation and spend their time checking and refining it.
  • Answers questions from stakeholdersThe Aleph Agent answers finance questions in Slack, Microsoft Teams or Aleph itself and shows how it arrived at the answer. Budget owners get figures without waiting for the FP&A team to pull a report.
  • Maps raw data to reporting structuresAI Mappings classify incoming source data, for example accounts or departments, and map them to the reporting structure as new data arrives. This reduces manual mapping work when systems change or new entities are added.

What sets Aleph apart

  • Offers an MCP server so that external assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT can query structured financial data without CSV exports.
  • Keeps Excel and Google Sheets as the working surface through add-ins.
  • States SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II reports and hosting on Google Cloud Platform.

Questions to ask before you buy Aleph

Aleph runs on Google Cloud Platform, and its subprocessor list names the United States for all services. A cloud region in the EU was not listed when we checked in September 2026, but the security page names on-premise hosting as an option. Review transfer safeguards and ask for the data processing agreement. Check that your ERP and data warehouse are among the connectors, and confirm how MCP access is controlled before connecting external AI assistants. Pricing is not published.
