Asana is a work management platform for planning projects, portfolios and goals across teams. Its AI layer adds prebuilt agents, no-code AI workflows and automatic project summaries for teams that run many parallel projects.
Asana organizes work as tasks, projects, portfolios and goals, with timelines, workload views, forms and rules. Teams use it for marketing campaigns, IT requests, operations and cross-functional launches. The pricing page lists a free Personal plan for two users and paid Starter, Advanced and Enterprise tiers. All paid tiers include a monthly allowance of AI requests and AI Studio credits, and more usage can be bought per request.

- Routes incoming requestsAI Studio lets teams build workflows without code that take in requests from forms, classify them and assign them to the right person or project. Operations and IT teams spend less time sorting tickets by hand and see fewer requests left unassigned.
- Runs prebuilt agentsAI Teammates are ready-made agents for marketing, operations, IT and other functions that take over recurring steps inside projects. Asana Dash surfaces priorities from meetings, Slack and email and passes work to these agents, so project leads start from a sorted list.

Questions to ask before you buy Asana
Plan AI costs early: each tier includes a fixed number of AI requests per user and per account, and heavy agent use is billed per request. SAML single sign-on is limited to Enterprise and Enterprise+. If data must stay in the EU, plan for Enterprise+, where data residency is an opt-in feature, and confirm the data center choice in the contract.
