Cube is FP&A software for growing finance teams that plan and report in Excel or Google Sheets. It adds a central data layer and AI agents that refresh forecasts, explain variances and draft board decks.

Cube connects accounting, CRM, HR and payroll, payments and BI systems to a central model and lets finance teams keep working in Excel and Google Sheets. It covers budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting with unlimited users and dashboards in every plan. Cube was founded in 2018, is operated by Cube Planning, Inc. and offers Bronze, Silver and Gold plans by quote, with Silver adding workflow automation, PowerPoint integration and Slack or Teams.

• Ranks and explains variancesSmart Variance, part of the Analyst agents, ranks a period's variances by amount and percent, flags what moved and lets users open each figure down to the transactions behind it. Controllers find the relevant deviations faster and can explain them with evidence.
• Refreshes rolling forecastsThe Planner agents, including Smart Forecaster, refresh a rolling forecast with the latest actuals and run scenarios on request. FP&A teams update the forecast in less time and start from a draft instead of rebuilding spreadsheets each month.
• Maps and reconciles dataData Manager agents pull data from connected systems, map it to the chart of accounts and reconcile it before analysis. Teams spend less time on manual data preparation and can trace each figure back to its source.
• Drafts board presentationsBusiness Partner agents prepare decision-ready material such as board decks from Cube data, and a super agent called Charlie coordinates the teams of agents. Finance leaders get a first draft of recurring presentations to review and adjust.

• Works inside Excel and Google Sheets, so teams keep their spreadsheet formulas and layouts while data comes from a governed central model.
• AI agents are included in all three plans instead of being sold as a separate AI add-on.
• Holds SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II reports, supports SAML single sign-on and runs on AWS, according to its security page.
