Kaoshixing AI features and pricing (October 2026)

Kaoshixing is a Chinese online exam and training platform that employers use for pre-employment written tests, certification exams and internal training, with AI features for grading, question writing and remote proctoring.

Kaoshixing is run by Beijing Mengjianxing Technology, founded in 2014, with offices in Beijing and Suzhou. The platform covers question banks, online exams, surveys, courses and live training. For recruiting, it offers online written tests and unattended video interviews, which the vendor says can handle ten thousand candidates at the same time. Plans range from a free version with 100 accounts to an exam edition, a training plus exam edition and a deployment edition for private cloud, hybrid cloud or on-premises installation.

• Grades open answersAI grading scores objective questions as well as short answers, essays, compositions and translations. For large recruiting tests, reviewers no longer read every answer from scratch, and the system builds a competency profile for each candidate after submission.
• Writes test questionsAI question generation creates questions in batches from recruiting and job materials, in five question types, and imports them directly into the question bank. Building a new written test for a role takes less manual work.
• Proctors remote testsAI proctoring watches the webcam plus optional side and rear phone cameras and flags extra people, candidates leaving, screen casting and switching windows to search for answers. Each candidate gets a cheating-tendency score, and too many violations end the test automatically.

• Free plan with 100 accounts and 300 AI gradings, which lets small teams test the platform without a contract.
• Deployment edition for private cloud, hybrid cloud, on-premises installation and adaptation to domestic Chinese IT systems.
• Also used for internal training and certification, so one question bank can serve hiring tests and employee exams.

Headquartered in Beijing with a second site in Suzhou and a Chinese-language product; the vendor says government bodies and midsize to large companies in China use it.

Kaoshixing fits organizations that test candidates or staff in Chinese. Before using the proctoring, clarify where camera recordings are stored and for how long, since the hosting location is not published. Under Article 24 of China's Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), people can refuse decisions made solely by automated means, so keep a human check on AI grades used in hiring. For any use with EU candidates, AI-assisted selection falls under the high-risk rules of the EU AI Act from December 2, 2027.
