Aico AI features and pricing (October 2026)

Aico is financial close software for large companies, developed in Finland and now part of Pacera. It manages close tasks, reconciliations, journal entries and transaction matching and embeds AI that checks evidence quality and approvals.

Aico includes a closing task manager, account reconciliations, journal entry automation, transaction matching, intercompany invoicing, manual payments, financial requests and compliance monitoring. It offers live integrations for SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Accel-KKR took a majority stake in Aico in April 2024. In January 2026 Aico, AARO for consolidation and Mercur for FP&A launched together as Pacera, which is backed by Accel-KKR and supports more than 700 organizations in Europe. Named Aico customers include AkzoNobel, Signify, Nouryon and Syngenta.

• Validates journal evidenceEvidence validation inspects attachments for relevance and completeness before a journal is submitted, and approver comment review flags low-quality comments so approvals meet policy. Reviewers see weak support early and spend review time on the risky entries instead of opening every attachment.
• Rates reconciliation evidenceFor reconciliations, the AI compares supporting evidence with ERP balances, assigns a rating from 1 to 10 and explains its reasoning. Preparers focus on exceptions, and customers can let reconciliations complete automatically when the rating exceeds a threshold they define.
• Automates journalsJournal automation predicts, generates and validates journals with consistent naming and dates. Through the live SAP integration, validations and postings run against master data in the ERP, which reduces rework caused by outdated extracts.
• Verifies ERP reportsReport verification checks ERP line-item reports for expected postings, anomalies and unexpected balances, and can complete close tasks once the required content is found. The AI supports the human checks rather than replacing them, and customers decide by period, threshold or task type when it runs.

• Focuses its AI on evidence quality and approval controls, which matters for internal control and audit.
• Uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Document Intelligence, and customer data is not used to train public models.
• Part of Pacera together with AARO for consolidation and Mercur for FP&A, all developed in the Nordics.
