What is Avoma?

Avoma is an AI meeting assistant and conversation intelligence platform from a California-based vendor for sales, customer success and RevOps teams. It records and transcribes calls, writes notes and follow-ups, scores calls for coaching and flags deal risks.

Avoma records video calls, transcribes them in real time, creates AI summary notes and follow-up emails and saves notes to CRM records. A scheduler with 1:1, group and round-robin booking and a Lead Router for inbound and outbound routing sit next to the meeting assistant. Paid add-ons for Conversation Intelligence and Revenue Intelligence bring call scoring, coaching, smart trackers, deal risk alerts, win-loss analysis and forecasting.

Avoma, Inc. was founded in 2017 in Palo Alto and has offices in San Jose and in Pune, India. The vendor states that more than 1,000 organizations use the product. The Startup plan fits small teams of up to 25 recording users.

Avoma AI features and use cases

  • Writes meeting notes and follow-upsAvoma transcribes calls in real time in more than 70 languages, writes summary notes with key takeaways, action items and smart topics, and drafts follow-up emails. Notes are saved to CRM records automatically, so reps spend less time on admin after each call.
  • Answers questions about meetingsAsk Avoma lets users ask questions about a single meeting in plain language, for example about objections or next steps. Global Ask Avoma, part of Enterprise and the Conversation Intelligence add-on, searches across many meetings, which helps managers spot patterns without listening to recordings.
  • Scores calls for coachingThe Conversation Intelligence add-on rates recorded calls with AI Call Scoring and gives AI coaching recommendations, supported by smart trackers for topics. Sales managers review more calls with the same criteria and give reps targeted feedback.
  • Flags deal risksThe Revenue Intelligence add-on raises AI Deal Risks, tracks sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, BANT and SPICED and runs AI Win Loss Analysis. RevOps and sales leaders see which deals need attention and why deals were won or lost.

What sets Avoma apart

  • Only meeting recorder seats are billed; viewers and collaborators watch recordings, read notes and comment for free.
  • Certified SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 42001:2023; Enterprise adds mutually signed DPAs, data retention policies and HIPAA compliance.
  • Scheduling and lead routing are part of the same product, so booking, inbound qualification and meeting notes stay in one tool.
