What is collect.AI?

collect.AI is receivables management software from Hamburg for companies with many consumer or business customers, such as energy suppliers, insurers and banks. It digitizes the dunning process across channels and uses AI assistants to route messages, predict payments and time reminders.

The platform automates the path from payment reminder to settlement through email, SMS, WhatsApp and letters with QR codes, and payment methods such as SEPA, cards and PayPal, including customer self-service. collect.AI is a subsidiary of Aareal Bank Group and is based in Hamburg. It names more than 50 customers, 260 million processed cases and 20 billion euros of receivables volume, with energy suppliers, insurance, banking, housing and telecommunications as core sectors. The product is built for high-volume receivables departments rather than small businesses.

collect.AI AI features and use cases

  • Recognizes customer requestsSmart Intent Recognition reads incoming customer messages, identifies the request and routes it to the right team. Receivables staff sort fewer messages by hand, and customer questions reach the person who can answer them sooner.
  • Predicts payment probabilityThe Payment Probability Assistant forecasts which payments are likely to arrive. Finance teams use these estimates to improve cash forecasts and to decide which cases need personal attention.
  • Chooses contact timing and channelThe Smart Communication Assistant selects when and through which channel a reminder goes out. Reminders reach customers at a better moment and on a channel they use, which can reduce the number of follow-up steps.

What sets collect.AI apart

  • Part of Aareal Bank Group, a German banking group, rather than an independent start-up.
  • Holds ISO 27001 certification and a TÜV-verified data protection review of the platform since 2019.
