Rossum AI features, pricing and GDPR (October 2026)

Rossum is an intelligent document processing platform, owned by Coupa since May 2026, that captures, validates and routes supplier invoices and other transactional documents and passes the data to ERP systems for accounts payable teams.

For accounts payable, Rossum handles invoice intake by email or upload, data capture, validation against master data, two-, three- and four-way matching, GL and tax coding, approval routing and export to ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Coupa, Workday and Microsoft Dynamics. It also supports e-invoicing for Belgium, Poland and France. Outside AP, the same platform processes order, customs and quality documents. Rossum was founded in 2017 in Prague, has more than 200 employees and more than 450 customers, and was acquired by Coupa in May 2026. The founder says the product continues under Coupa.

• Captures invoices without templatesRossum Aurora, a model trained on 11 million transactional documents, extracts header fields and complex line items from invoices without layout templates, in 276 languages and handwriting in 30. This cuts manual keying for AP teams with many foreign suppliers.
• Suggests GL and tax codesThe system infers the general ledger account and tax code from the document content, master data and earlier decisions. Accountants confirm or adjust the proposal rather than coding each invoice from scratch.
• Matches invoices and flags duplicatesRossum matches invoices against purchase orders and goods receipts in two-, three- or four-way checks and flags duplicates and suspicious transactions before they reach the ERP. The AP team catches double payments and errors earlier.
• Spots early payment discountsThe AI reads free-text payment terms, identifies early payment discounts and calculates them. Treasury and AP can schedule payments to use discounts that would otherwise be missed in unstructured terms.

• Uses its own transactional model, Aurora, which according to the vendor only picks data from the document and cannot generate free text.
• Lets customers choose AWS hosting in Frankfurt, Ireland, the US or Japan; a preferred cloud location is part of the Enterprise plan.
• Lists a Starter price of $18,000 per year with unlimited seats and holds ISO/IEC 42001 certification for AI management.

Rossum is based in Prague, Czech Republic, has offices in the US, the UK and Luxembourg, and has belonged to Coupa since May 2026; it does not name a lead market.

Clarify how Rossum will be developed and sold under Coupa if you do not use Coupa, since the acquisition in May 2026 is recent. Check which plan includes your ERP connector, SSO and the choice of hosting location, and confirm the page or document volume behind the quote. Request the SOC 2 Type II report through the trust center and review whether your data may be used to improve Aurora. The security page says its AI governance under ISO/IEC 42001 is aligned with the EU AI Act but gives no risk classification.
