Vena AI features, pricing and GDPR (October 2026)

Vena is planning, reporting and consolidation software for finance teams that want to keep Microsoft Excel as their interface. Vena Copilot adds AI agents for budgets, reports and variance analysis, also inside Microsoft Teams.

Vena combines a central database with a full Excel integration for budgeting and forecasting, financial and management reporting, cash flow, workforce, sales and marketing planning, and financial consolidation. It describes itself as Microsoft native and builds its AI on Microsoft Azure OpenAI. Vena has head offices in Toronto, the US, London and India and says thousands of organizations use it. Plans are Professional and Complete, priced by quote.

• Builds budgets in Excel from requestsThe Planning Agent generates structured budgets and forecasts directly in Excel from natural language requests, without rebuilding templates. Planners stay in the Excel environment they know and get a first version of a plan in less time.
• Generates reports on demandThe Reporting Agent creates reports for any view with drill-down to the numbers behind them, and colleagues outside finance can request reports themselves. FP&A teams receive fewer ad hoc report requests and can collaborate on results in Excel Live in Microsoft Teams.
• Analyzes variances and trendsThe Analytics Agent produces variance and trend analysis on Vena data. Controllers get a written starting point for month-end commentary and can spend the saved time on follow-up with budget owners.
• Routes questions to the right agentVena Copilot takes questions in natural language or chat, delegates them to the best-suited agent in the background and returns insights or reports. Users give feedback on answers and can define rules for phrases, which improves results for the team over time.

• Keeps Microsoft Excel as the main interface and adds Microsoft Teams collaboration, which fits finance teams already standardized on Microsoft 365.
• Vena Copilot is included in the Professional plan, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central users may be eligible for discounted pricing.
• Completes annual SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II audits by Deloitte and publishes a SOC 3 report.

Vena lists its Canadian head office in Toronto, with further head offices in the US, London and India.

Vena publishes no prices, so compare what Professional and Complete include. Choose the Vena Hub region at the start: the trust page offers Canada, the United States and the EU for data residency. Check the Azure OpenAI processing terms in the data processing agreement. The Scenario Agent was marked coming soon in September 2026, so it should not be part of the purchase decision yet.
