What is LiveFlow?
LiveFlow is accounting and financial planning software for multi-entity businesses such as franchises, construction firms, clinic groups and restaurant operators. It consolidates entities, reports and forecasts, and its newer Flow product runs bookkeeping and the monthly close with a set of AI agents.
LiveFlow has two product lines. The FP&A side, with FinanceIQ, consolidation and dashboards, connects to QuickBooks or Xero, consolidates entities in more than 160 currencies with intercompany eliminations, syncs reports to Google Sheets or Excel and adds budgets and budget versus actuals by department.
Flow is positioned as an AI-native ERP that replaces QuickBooks Online, with receivables, payables, reconciliation and multi-entity accounting in one ledger. The company is based in New York and raised a $13.5 million Series A led by Valar Ventures in September 2024.
LiveFlow AI features and use cases
- Reconciles bank transactionsThe Reconciler agent in Flow matches bank feed transactions against the books throughout the month. Rules clear obvious matches, agents handle the rest, each match shows how it was made, and unmatched items go to a senior accountant as exceptions, which spreads reconciliation work across the month.
- Categorizes transactionsThe Categorizer agent codes incoming transactions to the right accounts automatically. Staff accountants spend less time on routine coding and mainly review and approve the entries that the Orchestrator agent escalates for sign-off.
- Reviews the close across entitiesThe Closer agent reviews the month-end close and identifies anomalies, while the Consolidator and Reporter agents handle intercompany structure, consolidation and multi-currency reporting. Controllers of multi-entity groups see flagged issues before reports go out.
What sets LiveFlow apart
- Built for multi-location physical businesses in construction, healthcare, food and beverage, retail and franchising.
- The FP&A layer works on top of QuickBooks or Xero with live sync to Google Sheets and Excel, while Flow replaces the ledger itself.
- Trust center offers a SOC 2 Type II report and names subprocessors including AWS, Google Cloud, Vercel, Datadog and Retool.
Where LiveFlow is strongest
LiveFlow is headquartered in New York and says it is expanding its New York-based go-to-market team. Flow's bank feeds cover institutions in the US, Canada and the UK.
Questions to ask before you buy LiveFlow
Decide whether you want the reporting layer on top of QuickBooks or Xero or a move to Flow as the new ledger, since that changes migration and audit effort. Prices are not published. The trust center lists subprocessors and offers the SOC 2 Type II report but names no hosting region, so ask where data is stored. Groups outside North America should check currencies and local tax requirements.
