What is OnApply?

OnApply is applicant tracking software from Frankfurt for small and midsize German employers. It posts jobs to more than 400 job boards, collects applications in one place and uses AI to score applications, suggest interview questions and rewrite job ads.

OnApply covers job ad creation with templates, one-click multiposting to more than 400 job boards including free boards, Google for Jobs and the Federal Employment Agency, a career page, application management, candidate email, scorecards, interview scheduling with calendar sync, a talent pool, job requisitions with approval, analytics per job board and role-based permissions. Four packages range from a single posting to a Recruiting Co-Pilot where an assigned recruiting expert writes and posts ads. The company, On-apply GmbH, is based in Frankfurt am Main and reports more than 2,500 companies as customers. Its own pages target firms with regular hiring, including smaller employers.

OnApply AI features and use cases

  • Scores incoming applicationsThe AI anonymizes each application and compares qualifications and experience with the must-haves and nice-to-haves of the job ad, weighting must-haves higher, then shows a match score from 0 to 100 percent and sorts the list. Small HR teams see promising applicants first; the decision stays with people.
  • Prepares interviews per candidateThe candidate analysis splits each application into five tabs: overview, experience, requirements, qualifications and interview points. It proposes interview questions tailored to the person, so hiring managers without recruiting training go into the conversation with a plan.
  • Improves job ad wordingFrom the job ad management package upward, an AI rewrites the job ad so that more suitable candidates apply. This helps firms without a copywriter or employer branding team publish clearer ads across the connected job boards.

What sets OnApply apart

  • Combines multiposting to more than 400 job boards at 15 percent below list price with an ATS, so small firms buy postings and software from one vendor.
  • Publishes monthly package prices per number of open positions with unlimited users, starting with a single posting at 89 euros without subscription.
  • According to the vendor, AI analysis runs on anonymized data on servers in Germany, and the top package includes documents for works councils and data protection officers.

Where OnApply is strongest

Based in Frankfurt am Main, with a German-only website and offer and connections to more than 400 job boards including the German Federal Employment Agency. The vendor reports more than 2,500 companies as users.
