softgarden is a Berlin-based applicant tracking system for recruiting teams of any size in German-speaking Europe, combining job posting, candidate management and onboarding with AI tools for writing job ads, screening applications and preparing interviews.

softgarden is a Berlin-founded applicant tracking system, on the market since 2000 and fully owned since 2022 by the Polish HR technology group Grupa Pracuj. The platform covers job posting with distribution to more than 1,200 job boards, a careers page builder, applicant management, onboarding and reporting dashboards.

It serves recruiting teams from startups to large enterprises, mainly in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and reports more than 2,000 customer companies. The group also owns absence.io, a separate tool for leave and absence management that softgarden acquired in 2021.

• Drafts job ads from a titleGiven a job title, target group and requirements, softgarden's AI generates a first draft of a job ad that a recruiter then edits and publishes. This helps most when a team is writing a posting for a role it has not advertised before.
• Pre-screens incoming applicationsThe AI screening assistant scans incoming applications and highlights candidates whose qualifications and experience match a role, drawing on submitted CV data and patterns from earlier successful hires. softgarden states the assistant only supports the process, and the hiring decision stays with the recruiter.
• Prepares and structures interviewsThe AI interview assistant helps recruiters prepare structured, role-specific questions ahead of time and compare candidates' answers more consistently afterward, aiming for a faster and fairer interview process across a hiring team.
• Generates candidate email templatesFor confirmations, interim updates, interview invitations and rejections, the AI drafts message templates from a short prompt and details such as job title or interview date, replacing a blank page with a first draft to edit.

• Distributes job postings automatically to more than 1,200 job boards from within the same platform.
• AI features run inside the platform on data already stored there, rather than through a separate external AI tool.
• Positioned specifically for the German speaking market, with a German data center and an interface limited to German and English.
• Owned by Grupa Pracuj, a publicly listed Polish recruitment group with its own regional job board network.

softgarden is headquartered in Berlin and hosts data in ISO 27001 certified data centers in Germany.
