What is Tidio?

Tidio is customer service software for small and midsize businesses, especially online stores. It combines live chat, a help desk and chatbot Flows with Lyro, an AI agent that answers customer questions from the company's own support content and hands complex cases to people.

Tidio brings website live chat, email, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger into one help desk with ticketing, macros, analytics and automatic chat assignment. Flows are no-code chatbot paths for lead capture and missed conversations. Lyro, the AI agent, can run inside Tidio or connect to help desks such as Zendesk, Intercom or Salesforce on Plus and Premium. Shopify and WooCommerce integrations show live product and order data.

Tidio was founded in 2013 in Szczecin, Poland. Its contracting entity, Tidio LLC, is registered in San Francisco. The vendor reports more than 180 employees, offices in San Francisco, Warsaw and Szczecin, and more than 300,000 businesses as users. A free plan suits very small teams without a dedicated support department.

Tidio AI features and use cases

  • Answers routine customer questionsLyro learns from support content added as links, PDF files, CSV imports or manual entries and answers only from that knowledge. It replies in dozens of languages on live chat, WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger and also resolves common email requests. Support teams handle fewer repetitive questions.
  • Completes tasks inside the conversationLyro Smart Actions connect Lyro to external systems, now also through MCP, so it can update orders or qualify leads without a human agent. Customers get a result during the chat, and the team does not need to follow up on simple requests.
  • Recommends products from the catalogLyro reads the store's product catalog in real time and suggests items that match the shopper's question. Online stores can use the same chat for pre-purchase advice and support, which helps small teams cover sales questions outside working hours.
  • Suggests replies to support agentsCopilot proposes AI-generated responses to human agents inside Tidio and as a free Chrome extension for other help desks. Agents can also translate incoming messages with AI when a customer writes in another language. Replies go out faster while a person still decides what is sent.

What sets Tidio apart

  • A permanent free plan and paid plans from $24.17 per month on annual billing make Tidio accessible for very small teams.
  • Lyro also works as a stand-alone AI agent on top of Zendesk, Intercom, Salesforce and other help desks on Plus and Premium.
  • The FAQ states that customer data is stored on AWS servers in the European Economic Area.
  • Lyro runs on Claude from Anthropic plus in-house models; the AI terms name OpenAI and Google Cloud in the EU as further providers.
