Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP, Law 27/2022) became fully enforceable on October 17, 2024, after a two-year transition period. It covers employee data throughout the HR lifecycle, from job applications to exit records, with fines of up to 2 percent of annual revenue for violations.   • Employment contracts must include Indonesian. Law 24/2009 on the flag, language and state symbols, with implementing rules in Presidential Regulation 63/2019, requires Indonesian to be used in agreements involving an Indonesian party, including employment contracts.   • Bipartite body required at companies with 50+ workers.
